Presented by Lurie Cancer Center’s Office of Community Outreach and Engagement and the Director for Clinical Trial Accrual Equity, this lunchtime seminar will bring together research coordinators, researchers and clinicians to share strategies that have resulted in 50-100% minority clinical trial enrollment. This seminar is designed to share best practices for overcoming barriers to minority recruitment and retention within Northwestern Medicine. Participants will hear a presentation and a moderated panel discussion featuring research coordinators from minority serving medical centers and will engage in an audience-driven question and answer session to identify feasible interventions to enhance minority participation in cancer trials.
